Who are the Arms of Love team?

The team at Arms of Love Zambia is run by Emmanuel Chali.

Emmanuel and Chibuta Chali

Emmanuel is married to Chibuta and they have three beautiful daughters and also take care of orphans Sofie and Benjamin. They are both in their late 20's. Emmanuel trained as a butcher originally in Ndola but later felt the call to full time ministry and went to England in 2001 to undertake his course in Biblical Studies. On returning to Zambia he and some friends felt very stirred to act to help to eliviate some of the needs of the people around them. Emmanuel oversees and ensures the smooth running of the projects. He is very hands on, coaches the football team and spends most of his time with people, helping , loving, supporting. He has a very Fatherly role in the team. Emmanuel Chali is also a Pastor at Bethel City International Church in Ndola Zambia .

Chibuta Chali, as well as being married to Emmaneul and running a busy home is a school teacher and also helps with Arms of Love Zambia by assessing the children to see what grades they should be in academically and what level they would do best at. She also helps with the feeding programme and has a very caring role within the team. Chibuta would love to run the school we would love to start soon. Chibuta is also a seemstress and has taught others in Arms of Love her trade who are now supporting themselves and their families.

Mike Lundofu

Miike is 29 and is married to Stela. They currently have 2 of the former street boys living and schooling with them. Mike is a man of many talents. He is a mechanic and is running his own taxi business but also is an accomplished tailor. Mike's role in the team ranges from transportation, to football training to counselling, most importantly Mike is an excellent Father figure for the boys. He will be involved in training as the project develops and Mike and Stela would love to open their home to more street children in time as finances allow.

Jenny Kasonde

Jenny has been married to Evaristo for 20 years and they have 4 children. They are both full time pastors but manage to help with 2 separate feeding programmes as well. Jenny is chief cook. She really is so much more tho, having her on the team brings wisdom that only years can bring. She is a huge Motherly influence and does much of the one on one counselling with the boys. Her and Evaristo would love to open their home to more boys as finances allow.

Enoch Phiri

Enoch is 21. He is an Orphan who knows what it is to be in need. Enoch really is one of our success stories. He moved into our project house 2 years ago and is doing great at school, in grade 10 now. He is assistant coach for the football team and wants to study business administration or sociology after school. Great guy, huge potential. Enoch is a solid role model for the rest of the boys.

Colins Sichande

Colins is 24 and has just got married to Chota (congrats). Colins is one of the founder members of the organisation and his input and commitment have been very pivitol. Colins is the house parent in the project house, which also serves as a drop in centre. He organises extra curriculum activities for school going children as well as chasing up childrens progress at school. He also is responsible for project finances and finds school places for children. He is a talented musician and teaches when he can as well as running a youth group at his church.

Mark Chiluba

Mark is 31 and presently training as a mechanic. Mark some how has a gift with the boys to draw alongside them. He is good at finding them and identifying those who are ready to move on. He helps with transport and along with Mike plans to help with the future training of boys as mechanics as the project develops.

Shadreck and Chibwe Tayengwa

Shadreck (affectionately known as pastor T) and Chibwe are in their late 20's. They have 2 beautiful sons and also 2 other orphaned children. They are both founder members of Arms of Love Zambia and have responsibility in finding suitable families to place orphaned children with. Pastor T has a supportive and pastoral role within the project. He used to be a professional footballer and so helps with the football team too. Chibwe is the Arms of Love Zambia secretary and is in charge of correspondece and publicity in Zambia .
